Hi Sylvester,
We have been contacted by Elisabeth some months ago and we proposed 2 courses, one of which on characterization and testing procedures, that is related to WP8.
I filled the form time ago.

Best regards
Andrea

Dear Partners,

As we discussed in our last monthly meeting, we have been asked to provide input on the training expectations, and we'll send a request to collect the information. Please see an email below and the attachments from Elisabeth (Tyndall), who is coordinating this effort. She provided a brief walkthrough and some alternatives for how this could be done.

I would be great to have as much feedback as possible from all of the partners in our WP8, ideally by the end of next week. A few remarks from my side below, Elisabeth, please correct anything if needed:

  * The information should be in the context of our work package, so in general, about reliability and testing.
  * Consider this a Wishlist from your side.
  * It is not expected that those answering will have to prepare and deliver a training (I think there is confusion like that at some partners).

Sincerely yours,
Sylwester

Dear Sylwester,

Thanks for the discussion on training and interoperability on 12th March 2026. As discussed, I’m sending you an overview of questions which I would please ask you to answer from WP8 perspective on training and skills needs. I’m attaching the overview of questions in two different formats. Depending on your preference to collect the information, please chose one of the two options:

  1. An online questionnaire: If you are going to use the online questionnaire to collect the information, please create one entry per proposed training. PIXEurope training: skills baseline per WP – Fill in form<https://forms.office.com/e/FWwquidvRn>
  2. Online Excel file: If you prefer to collect the information via an online Excel file – please feel free to go ahead with this version here: <image002.png> PIXEurope training_ skills baseline per WP - Copy.xlsx<https://uccireland.sharepoint.com/:x:/s/CompoundSemiconductorDeviceFabrication-courseinformationandm/IQDx-pWREhA4SLYTSjH1tGMeATI_JoHXwfI7UaSirUF5GfQ?email=sylwester.latkowski%40pitc.nl&e=n8DCBR>

Please see this form as a brainstorming exercise to collect ideas for training courses which are of relevance to your WP 8. Here are some points that might help guide the discussion:

  * Based on the objectives of your WP, what are - in your opinion - the technical skills needed to support technical discussions and coordination?
  * How can these be translated to training courses?
  * Why is the skill needed?
  * What makes the training specific to the pilot line (e.g. pilot line technologies, equipment)

There is no minimum or maximum number of trainings you may propose as WP.
As mentioned, this is a brainstorming exercise to collect ideas on training. By putting down the ideas, your WP and consortium members in your WP are not committing to deliver these trainings.
It would be great if you could get back to me by 8th April 2026. All WPs are completing this exercise. Once the information is gathered, we are going to map this out, check if there are any overlaps in WPs for training needs. I will be in touch again with all WPs once I’ve completed the mapping exercise to discuss further steps.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I will be in Eindhoven tomorrow, 25th March to lunchtime 26th March for a PIXEurope Bootcamp organised by Alona, in case you wanted to discuss further in-person.

Kind regards,
Liz
