Membranetrafficking -- Membrane trafficking virtual community mailing list

About Membranetrafficking
English (USA)

Cellular membrane traffic produces incredibly dynamic structures, in continuous communication with each other. This traffic is brought about by beautifully coordinated actions of specialized protein and lipid complexes that harness fundamental processes of membrane remodeling and cargo capture. In the past few years, new techniques and systems, together with interdisciplinary thought, are leading to innovative ideas and completely new paradigms in the field of membrane traffic.

This seminar series is an opportunity to bring such exciting new ideas to the community and boost constructive discussions on the future of membrane traffic.
Preference will be given to early career researchers. Are you a new PI, post-doc or senior PhD student? Have a new exciting pre-print out or a paper coming out soon? Post it on the Slack channel and let’s discuss it before your presentation! For PIs: do you have an enthusiastic post-doc/PhD student that you would like to see at the virtual podium? Are you on the job market, transitioning from PhD to postdoc or from postdoc to group leader? Here’s a great place to be seen!

To apply for a talk, please fill out this form:

Presentations will generally be 30 minutes each, with lots of time for questions afterward. Presentations are open to all, so the first five minutes of the seminar should introduce the topic to a general audience.

We would like to record the talks and host them in an unlisted Youtube channel, linked from Slack for a few days, to allow access to people from different time zones. Only the talk will be recorded, not the discussions afterward. However, if the presenter wishes, we will not record anything.
