[Pixeurope-training] PIXEurope training - updates, and call to action to assess your training needs by 10th February 2026

Dear PIXEurope training partners,

Thanks for your continued support and valuable input in WP3-DEP Training. Your contributions over the past months have enabled us to establish an initial training baseline for PIXEurope. I will be reaching out to each of the partners who provided input in the coming days and weeks to continue the discussion. Following the completion of the training baseline mapping, the next steps are as follows:


  1.  Training needs assessment
All colleagues in PIXEurope are invited to complete a training needs assessment survey by 10th February 2026. I will send a separate email shortly, you may be on the recipient list again, as it will be sent to the pixeurope-ga mailing list. The purpose is to capture individual training needs related to their role in the pilot line. This is an individual, needs-based assessment.
The results will help identify priority skills and training areas within the pilot line, though not all training requests may be addressed within PIXEurope and the training programme in development.

  1.  Training & Interoperability meetings with WP leaders
Meetings with WP leaders will be organised to better understand how a baseline level of training can support technical coordination and discussions within the WPs, and to identify partners who could contribute to or lead relevant training activities. These meetings will be organised and attended by Padraic Morrissey, myself, and respective WP leaders/co-leaders.



  1.  Outcomes and next steps
The survey results and WP leader meetings will inform a gap analysis, which will then support the development of the PIXEurope training syllabus together with the pilot line consortium members. Further details to be shared in our upcoming monthly training meeting on 11th February 2026, at 11:00 CET.



  1.  Regular meetings with the training partners
You are invited to join monthly training update meetings, held every second Wednesday at 11:00 CET, a corresponding meeting invite has been issued and should be in your diaries.
