My name is Marina Santana, and I have recently joined ICFO as PIXEU Project Manager.

I will be part of the End-User and Ecosystem Day delivery team, together with my colleagues Noelia Cuesta, Ana Aguarod and Sabine Runge (all in cc).

After reviewing your availability preferences, we have identified 9-10 February as a tentative date for the Annual General Assembly (Monday 9th) and Ecosystem and End-User Day (Tuesday 10th).

Photonics West is 17-22 January (Sat-Thu), so that the PIXEurope event could be in January

  *   8-9 January (Thu-Fri) if that is not too soon after the holidays
  *   12-16 January (Mon-Fri) before PW'26 (and not too soon after the holidays)
  *   26-30 January (Mon-Fri) after PW'26

...or later in February when Peter is back. Those are all ok for me in principle. We need two consecutive days, right?

Hi Valerio,

That would be a good idea. I will be in Singapore around February 5th, so it’s unlikely I will be available that week. There’s also Photonics West at the end of January, and I may attend (and I expect many stakeholders will also be there). What about early January, when people are just coming back after the holidays, and before it gets too busy?

Dear All

As I suggested in the internal KOM to start PIXEurope, we will have an End-User and Ecosystem Day, also agreed with Chips JU.

Such day should involve end-users (mainly companies but also RTOs), stakeholders (e.g. Chips JU representatives, National representatives, etc…), Industry associations (those of Chips JU and at National levels), Competence Centres (Access) including photonics, Optica, EPIC, etc…

We would present the Pilot and Open Access. Related to the latter, Kevin and I together with our respective teams at TU/e and ICFO are working on preliminary entry-forms for end-users. We are doing this with some collaborative projects. We will then be in the position to present the entry form to potential end-user at PIXEurope End-User and Ecosystem Day.

Current proposed date is Feb 2nd 2026. We can also reserve Feb 3rd for a GA. Venue: Barcelona.

Please let me know if the day suits you and call me to discuss details of this event.
