Good morning everyone
A quick follow up about the ongoing discussions on the new way we want to introduce for collaborative research.
Chips JU is calling for an online meeting with also their legal team. I think it is to assess whether and how we could do these collaborative R&D projects.
The meeting is scheduled for Dec 5 and I asked Kevin (TU/e is leading Open Access), Noelia (Pilot Line Financial and Procurement Manager) and Guillermo (is our interim Exploitation and Innovation Manager) to join.
The suggestion of considering Collaborative R&D Projects within HE comes from them, but, as we commented on our meetings, it has attached several constraints (criteria), including: it has to be part of tasks in HE for partners to be able to use resources from Pilot Line, IP and know how have to stay with the Pilot Line, associated technologies can be offered to third parties etc....These are all open questions. I hope we will be able to advance in the online meeting with them.
As for terms:
* We may want to reserve "End-User" to third parties in the Open Access scheme, requesting services, such as Training, Consultancy, Use of Equipment/Lab and Prototyping. End-Users are beneficiaries of the service of the Pilot Line.
* We may want to use "External Collaborator" for third parties that engage in Collaborative R&D Projects. External Collaborators contribute to the Pilot Line offering.
Third parties can be either companies, academia or RTOs.
We will keep you posted.
Best
Valerio
