Ok, now you woke up my poetic side and I came up with the following ideas with a little help from Claude to find fitting core terms ??

My favourite:

IC·Phos – Catalan hub for photonic chips, quantum and AI or: ICFO’s hub for light-based technologies
Slogan: Light at the core of chips, quantum and AI
“IC” stands for both ICFO and integrated circuits, and phos is Greek for light, giving “integrated circuits of light,” which is exactly what photonic chips are. Writing it IC·Phos, with the Catalan middle dot, would add a local touch.

Pharos – ICFO’s hub for photonic chips, quantum and AI
Slogan: Where light leads - chips, quantum and AI follow.

Pharos (Greek) was the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria and is the origin of far (Catalan) and faro (Spanish). It presents ICFO as a beacon that is visible from afar (at EU & international level), guiding innovation, and attracting partners to its Mediterranean shores ??

ICFO Spectrum – Barcelona’s nexus for photonic chips, quantum and AI
Slogan: One light. Many applications.
A spectrum is the full range of light, from one beam to many colours. It stands for breadth and inclusivity: one core technology spreading into many applications, from photonic chips to quantum and AI, and across the full value chain from new materials to packaging.

Er need BCN, ICFO, Cat, Meditterenean sea, or any other specific location identifier in the name

We may want to add quantum to photonics, light, lux, as quantum is strategic for ICFO, and possibly we should add AI as we aill do many things for it.

Being specific makes something more attractive………if I tell you I am good at everything you would not believe me, if I tell you something specific for which I am known you believe me…..we are know for photonics, quantum photonics and we start being known for AI; as far as chips are concerned, and it is also where our core applications (verticals) are

We also should try to embrace the full value chain, especially the new materialas and packaging.
